I direct, create and play puppets, animate and make films, plays and installations. My work depicts inner worlds and is made to stimulate your senses. It floats between the figurative and the abstract, aspiring to make you experience the world in a way you have never done before and bring comfort and stillness to everyone who needs it. I graduated with honors from the Bachelor in Animation at the HKU (University of the Arts Utrecht) in 2022. My graduation film Alma was made using live-action puppetry, inspired by the Japanese bunraku technique, and was shown during LiGHT-UP, Blikvangers Festival and at the Stranded FM x Hoogt on Tour Live Cinema Concert with live music. I did my internship at the puppetry company Studio Figur and followed puppetry courses with Neville Tranter and Michel Villée. My first puppetry play Dromenvatten / Dreamcatching with Femke Bun and Emy Schuite won the Young Makers Audience Award 2022 at Puppet International. I currently live in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
