Alma

In 2022 I graduated with honors from the University of the Arts Utrecht with a puppetry film, Alma, about a girl that tries to catch a light. The film uses live-action puppetry, inspired by the Japanese bunraku technique. It has been shown at LiGHT-UP, Lowlands, Reel Puppetry Festival, Braziers Film Festival, SWIFT, Blikvangers Festival and at the Stranded FM x Hoogt on Tour Live Cinema Concert with live music.

Graduation Show Exposure HKU (2022)
During my graduation show I exhibited Alma in an installation stimulation the senses, accompanied by making-of videos and the journey I made to develop this film.

LiGHT-UP (2022)
Alma was also shown at different locations in Utrecht such as the Janskerkhof and Amelisweerd during the LiGHT-UP festival.
